Hawks Fall To Gators To End Regular Season

Oneonta, N.Y. – The Hartwick Women's Soccer hosted Russell Sage for their final regular season match.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Hartwick faced early pressure as the Gators put up the first shot of the game just six minutes in, shortly after Hartwick responded with a shot of their own.

  • The opposition scored first from inside the box coming from a cross that was almost knocked away by the Hawks in the 28th minute.

  • As the first half was coming to a close, the Hawks posted a shot and a corner but the half ended with the team trailing by one.

  • The second half opened up and the Gators added one more to the scoreboard in the 53rd minute.

  • Russell Sage maintained possession in the middle of the field for a bit before the Hawks showed late life with pushes into the opposing half, but struggled to find the final pass.

  • Hartwick posted two more shots but the chances were saved in the final ten minutes as the game came to a close.
