ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks wrapped up their season on Saturday, falling to the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs 38-13 on Senior Day

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Mustangs took advantage of their first drive, taking the ball 68 yards down field for a touchdown.
- On the ensuing drive, the Hawks gained 29 yards on eight plays but were still forced to punt, putting the ball back into Morrisville's hands.
- Morrisville made it a 10-0 lead after completing a 31-yard field goal on a drive that spanned the remainder of the 1st quarter and into the early stages of the second quarter.
- The Mustangs spoiled the next Hartwick drive intercepting a Hartwick pass, returning it for a 55-yard pick six.
- After the completion of the PAT, Morrisville led17-0.
- Later in the quarter, Hartwick got themselves on the board as quarterback, Dennis Riordan (New City, N.Y.) found the endzone on a 1-yard keeper.
- Unfortunately, the Mustangs responded on their next drive, going 70 yards down the field for another touchdown and PAT.
- After winning the coin toss prior to the game, the Hawks deferred to the second half.
- However, the Morrisville defense forced the Hawks into a turnover on downs on their first drive of the 3rd quarter and used that momentum to put up another TD and PAT.
- Looking for the comeback, Hartwick took the momentum back, with an 8-yard TD pass from Riordan to Nate Rath (Newport, N.Y.).
- Down 31-13, Hartwick opted for the two-point conversion but Riordan's run fell just short as the Mustangs kept it to a three-possession game.
- Morrisville would add another TD and extra point early in the 4th quarter to put the game away.
