Oneonta, N.Y. – The Hartwick Women's Swim and Dive Team faced off against SUNY Oneonta and finished their home meet with a victory.

Bree Dy (Matawan, N.J.), Min-Syun Chen (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) , Amanda Wilbur (Watkins Glen, N.Y.) , and Meghan Geczy (Queensbury, N.Y.) got the day started for the Hawks as they took first place in the 400 yard medley relay, clocking in at a time of 4:23.

Ellie Baird (Wilton, N.Y.) followed up with a first place finish in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:49.

The 200 yard freestyle also went to Hartwick as Cate Russo (San Pedro, Cal.) finished the race in two minutes and three seconds.

Dy finished first in the 100 yard and 200 yard backstroke finishing in times of 1:05 and 2:23 respectively.

Chen kept the strong day going for Hartwick by grabbing the top spot in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:09 and the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:33.

Courtney Pierce (Fulton, N.Y.) clocked in at 26.88 in the 50 yard freestyle to take first place for the Hawks.

Marielle Rodriguez (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) had a great day on the diving board scoring 178.45 in one meter and 191.35 in three meter diving

Russo took first place in the 100 yard and 500 yard freestyle,clocking in at 57.48 and 5:39.

The 400 yard IM would also go to Chen as she rounded out her strong day at 5:02

Dy, Russo, Baird and Pierce capped off the stellar day for the women with a 200 yard freestyle relay win with a time of 1:46.

Hartwick defeated the Red Dragons 182-88.

The Hawks will host Stevens and the University of Scranton in a Tri-Meet on November 18th, beginning with diving at 9 AM followed by swimming events at 1 PM.
