Fargnoli Drops 18 in 68-58 Loss Against Hamilton

ONEONTA, N.Y. – Hartwick Women's Basketball concluded their final contest of the Oneonta-Hartwick classic on Saturday afternoon with a 68-58 loss to the Hamilton College Continentals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • The Hawks struggled to find their footing throughout the first two quarters, only shooting 20% from the floor.
  • Hamilton on the other hand, shot 43% from the field and dominated down low with 22 points in the paint.
  • At the end of the first half, the Hawks found themselves down 32-16 to the Continentals.
  • The Continentals continued to pour it on early in the 3rd quarter, expanding their lead to 25-points with 2:10 left in the quarter.
  • Hamilton's lead over Hartwick hovered around the 18-point mark for the beginning of the 4th quarter.
  • With five minutes remaining, the Hawks chipped away at the Continentals' lead to get within 10. 
  • However, time ran out on the Hawks, falling 68-58.
  • Bree Fargnoli (Binghamton, N.Y.) scored 18 in the loss, going 7 for 14 from the floor including 2 for 6 from three-point range.
  • Isabella Astorino (Warwick, N.Y.) finished the game with 12 points and seven boards.
