ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks picked up their first victory of the 2023-24 season on Tuesday night in the team's home opener, rolling past the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs, 82-60.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Hartwick asserted themselves down low early and often throughout the first two quarters with forwards Isabella Astorino (Warwick, N.Y.) and Bree Fargnoli (Binghamton, N.Y.) picking up 16 and nine points respectively.
- The Hawks' well-executed press resulted in six steals and ten points off of Morrisville turnovers.
- Up 40-28 entering into the 3rd quarter, Hartwick stayed hot, expanding out from the post going three-for-three behind the arc.
- Daniella DeBiase (Staten Island, N.Y.) hit three of her four three-balls in the early stages of the third to help the Hawks extend their lead to 25.
- Hartwick went cold from distance in the fourth, but continued to dominate in the paint, amassing 46 total in the game from down low.
- The squad also moved the ball well throughout the course of the game as 27 of their 31 shots were assisted.
- Astorino led the Hawks throughout the contest, recording a double-double with a career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds.
- Three other Hawks posted double figures with Fargnoli posting 13 points while DeBiase and Sareena DiCerbo ended their evening with 12 each.
