DiCerbo Posts Double-Double in Non-Conference Loss Against Cortland

ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks took to the court on Tuesday night to square off against the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons in non-conference action.

  • Final Score: Hartwick 61, SUNY Cortland 77

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • Hartwick went toe-to-toe with Cortland for the majority of the 1st quarter until the Red Dragons made a late push to take an 11-point lead after the first 10 minutes of play.
  • The Hawks out-scored their counterparts 20-16 in the 2nd quarter, cutting into Cortland's lead to just six at halftime.
  • Unfortunately, the Red Dragons continued to add on in the 3rd quarter, eventually pulling out to a 66-48 lead heading into the final 10 minutes of play.
  • Cortland stayed on the same trend for the 4th to close out the 77-61 win over the Hawks.
  • Two Hawks finished in double figures on the evening, with Sareena DiCerbo (Schenectady, N.Y.) leading the way with a career-high 23 points.  The senior also completed the double-double with 14 rebounds.
  • Isabella Astorino (Warwick, N.Y.) also ended her evening in double figures with 15 points.

Hartwick will turn their attention to Empire 8 play which begins on Friday, December 1 as they host St. John Fisher at 5:30 PM in Lambros Arena.
