SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Hawks nearly overcame a 20-point first half deficit in the second, but it was not enough as they eventually fell on the road at Skidmore, 67-59.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Hawks fell behind early in the first half as the Thoroughbreds got out and running in transition, picking up 19 points on the fastbreak.
- Skidmore also out-shot the Hawks in the half, shooting 44% from the field.
- Down 49-32 to start the second half, Hartwick's Daniel Oyediran (Madison, N.J.) converted back-to-back layups to cut the Thoroughbreds' lead to 13.
- While the offense went quiet for the next couple of possessions for the Hawks, they were also able to hold Skidmore scoreless for the first four minutes of the half.
- Despite the brief drought, the Hawks completed a 15-4 scoring run in the first ten minutes of the half to get within six.
- Hartwick would still trail though as Skidmore kept their lead between six and ten points until just over four minutes remaining when they went on a seven-point run to take a 13-point lead with 2:40 remaining in the contest.
- The Hawks nearly regained their momentum in the final two minutes, getting within ten, but it was not enough as the Thoroughbreds stayed just a step ahead to claim the 67-59 win.
- Oyediran led all Hartwick scorers with a career-high 23 points.
- Jeremiah Boateng (Springfield, Va.) ended his night with 15 points.
