Hawks Fly Past Mavericks 65-43

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Hawks flew past the Medaille Mavericks, winning by 22 in Empire 8 road action on Friday night.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • The Hawks found themselves trailing by seven with 6:29 remaining in the first quarter, but rallied back to take a four-point lead by the end of the first.
  • By the end of the second quarter, Hartwick had doubled up their lead on the Mavericks, taking a 31-23 lead into halftime.
  • Hartwick turned things up a notch in the third quarter, hitting 10 out of 15 shots, ultimately turning their eight-point lead into a 21-point lead.
  • The fourth quarter was much of the same for the Hawks, maintaining their commanding lead to take the win 65-43.
  • Alexis Mark (Patterson, N.Y.) came off the bench to score 17, helping contribute to the Hawks' 29 bench points and 40 points in the paint.
  • Angelina Maselli (Burlington, Conn.) and Sareena DiCerbo (Schenectady, N.Y.) each contributed 10 points to Hartwick's scoring effort.
