ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks dropped an Empire 8 contest at home, 67-48 to the visiting Elmira College Soaring Eagles on Friday night.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Hartwick traded leads with the visiting Soaring Eagles throughout the early part of the first quarter, but found themselves down by four after the first 10 minutes of play.
- The Hawks clawed their way back to within one thanks to an Angelina Maselli (Burlington, Conn.) three with 2:04 remaining in the first half.
- However, Elmira went on a 10-point run to close out the half with a 34-23 lead.
- In the third, the Hawks got back to within eight points twice, but it was not enough as the Soaring Eagles' advantage would extend to 12 points by the end of the quarter.
- Elmira pulled away for good in the fourth quarter to claim the 67-48 win.
- Sareena DiCerbo (Schenectady, N.Y.) led the way for the Hawks, posting a double-double, scoring 14 points and pulling down 13 rebounds.
