ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks took a one-goal lead into the third quarter, but four-goal run by Oneonta in the quarter boosted the visitors to a 16-12 win in the Battle of the Hills.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Matthew Locasto (Floral Park, N.Y.) opened the contest with an unassisted strike at the 12:25 mark to give Hartwick the one-goal lead.
- Oneonta responded just under three minutes later to knot the score up at 1-1, setting the stage for a back-and-forth battle for the remainder of the first half.
- Shayne Kerrigan (Foxborough, Mass.) took a pass from Pete Conley (Foxborough, Mass.) with five second remaining in the 2nd quarter, scoring his first of the season to give the Hawks a 6-5 lead heading into halftime.
- The Red Dragons evened the score just under five minutes into the second half, but Hartwick responded in kind to take the lead back at the 9:27 mark in the 3rd.
- Unfortunately, Oneonta would go on to score four straight goals in a matter of three minutes to take a 10-7 midway through the third quarter.
- The Hawks closed the gap to two, with Kerrigan's second tally of the game at the 5:17 mark, but it was not enough as the Red Dragons continued to pull away for the remainder of the third quarter and throughout the fourth.
- Hartwick made one final push, scoring at the 3:59 and 1:37 marks in the 4th, but it was not enough as Oneonta would ultimately head home with the 16-12 win.
- Kerrigan led the way for the Hawks offensively, picking up four goals and one assist.
- Locasto added three goals to Hartwick's effort, while Evan Johanns (Southington, Conn.) added two goals
