Frost Nets Six as Hartwick Men Roll Past Pioneers 14-3

UTICA, N.Y. – The Hartwick Men's Lacrosse team was led by a six-goal performance by Garrett Frost (Wading River, N.Y.) on Wednesday afternoon as they rolled past the Pioneers 14-3.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • The visiting Hawks ripped off seven-straight, including two from the stick of Frost, before allowing Utica to get on the board.
  • The Pioneers picked up a goal at the 10:23 mark in the 2nd, but Hartwick took advantage of a Utica penalty, as Tyler Nocito (Mahopac, N.Y.) picked up the goal with an assist by Seth Bello (Holliston, Mass.) to regain the seven-goal lead.
  • Pete Conley (Foxborough, Mass.) extended the Hawks' lead to eight after a feed from Shayne Kerrigan (Foxborough, Mass.) at the 4:36 mark in the 2nd quarter.
  • The Pioneers tallied two in the third, but it was Frost who helped secure the 14-3 win down the stretch picking up four of Hartwick's last five goals.
  • Conley finished the day with five points, scoring one goal while assisting on four others.
  • Nocito and Bello both ended the game with four points.  Nocito picked up two goals and two assists, while Bellow notched one goal and chipped in three assists.
  • Kyle McKee (Wantagh, N.Y.) picked up the win in net for the Hawks, allowing only the three goals, while recording 14 saves.
 
 
UP NEXT FOR THE HAWKS
 
The Hawks remain on the road, traveling to St. John Fisher on Saturday, April 15 for a 2 PM conference tilt against the Cardinals.
