ONEONTA, N.Y. –
The Hartwick College Athletics Hall of Fame Committee is pleased to announce the 2023 Hall of Fame Induction Class.

The induction will take place over True Blue Weekend on Saturday, September 23 on Miller Court.  Prior to the dinner and ceremony, the inductees will also be honored at halftime of the field hockey game against Elmira College at 12 PM.

Headlining the induction class is former Head Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse Coach, Anna Meyer.  Inducted alongside of Meyer are two of her NCAA Final Four teams, the 1996 Field Hockey Team and the 1998 Women's Lacrosse Team.

2023 Class Biographies:

Anna Meyer – Served as women's lacrosse coach from 1989-1999 and field hockey coach from 1988-2018.  Meyer is the all-time winningest coach for both programs, recording 328 field hockey wins and 123 lacrosse wins.  She guided both programs to the NCAA Final Four and is one of only a handful of coaches to be named National Coach of the Year in two sports.

1996 Field Hockey Team – Finished the season with a 20-2 overall record and were the NCAA Runner-Up.  The squad is only one of only two teams in Hartwick College history to play in an NCAA Championship game.  On their way to the NCAA tournament, they also claimed the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association title.

1998 Women's Lacrosse Team – Only team in program history to reach the NCAA Final Four and one of three to qualify for the NCAA tournament.  The team's 18-4 record is also the best in program history.

The Hartwick College Athletics Hall of Fame honors those who have made outstanding contributions to Hartwick's intercollegiate athletics programs.  Its purpose is to perpetuate the memory of those who have brought distinction, honor, and excellence to Hartwick College through their athletic accomplishments.  With the addition of the 2023 class, the Athletic Department will have inducted 168 former student-athletes, coaches, teams, and supporters into the Hall of Fame.
