DELHI, N.Y. – Hartwick was forced to move their Empire 8 contest against the Russell Sage Gators indoors to the SUNY Delhi bubble, but it did not affect their performance as they picked up their second conference win of the season 9-0 on Sunday afternoon.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Hawks started their afternoon with a quick 8-1 win by the 3rd Doubles team of Colleen Marsh (Marcellus, N.Y.) and Gianna Leggieri (Ballston Lake, N.Y.).
- Hartwick had to grind out wins at 1st and 2nd Doubles to take the 3-0 match lead, with both tandems winning by scores of 8-5.
- While the 1st Doubles tandem of Phoebe Olson (Jamestown, N.Dak.) and Jade Killikelly (Jamaica, N.Y.) wrapped up their match, Marsh and Maggie Van Valkenburgh (Highland, N.Y.) took to the courts to begin the singles round at the 5th and 6th spots respectively.
- The two made quick work of their opponents, cruising to 6-0, 6-0 wins in both matches securing the win for the Hawks.
- Even with the match win secured, the squad looked to secure the 9-0 sweep.
- Both Olson and Killikelly carried their doubles momentum into their singles matches as both jumped out to first set wins.
- Ryann Ashby (Malta, N.Y.) and Lily Vanuga (Springville, N.Y.) also picked up first set wins in the 3rd and 4th spots respectively.
- Killikelly's 6-2 win in her second set put the Hawks up 6-0.
- After falling behind early in her second set, Vanuga rallied back, taking a 7-5 win to give Hartwick their seventh win.
- Ashby followed suit, defeating her opponent in straight sets.
- Despite winning the first set, Olson dropped the second set, but was able to turn the tides in the tie-breaker, taking the final set 10-5.
