WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Hawks controlled the pace of the game since the starting whistle, flying out the gates, Julie Ruzzi (High Falls, N.Y.) notched the first goal of the game in just 35 seconds, setting the tone for the squad.

Hartwick formed yet another dangerous attack with Ruzzi pushing up the field with purpose, she spotted Danielle Hand (Queensbury, N.Y.) and Hand found the back of the net to put the Hawks up two in five minutes.

With all the momentum, the Hawks piled on two more goals in the first quarter, Hand followed up her goal with another soon after and Ashley Tricarico (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) notched her first goal ten minutes in.

Ashley Luppens (Wading River, N.Y.) picked up her only save of the game, picking up another clean sheet in tandem with the lockdown defense that limited Nazareth to just three shots.

Hartwick picked up two third quarter goals, Libby Fortin (State College, Pa.) delivered the ball to the lurking Holly Calore (Rocky Point, N.Y) who put it past the goalkeeper. Ruzzi followed up the Calore goal with her second goal of the game just a minute after.

The fourth quarter was more of the same as the Hawks tacked on two more goals with Tricarico registering a second goal and Kylie Krawiec (Burlington, N.J.) rounding out the attack with a goal of her own as the squad picked up an 8-0 conference win.
