Oneonta, N.Y. – The Hartwick Men's Swim and Dive team faced off against Empire 8 opponent Alfred in their last home meet this season.

Before the meet, Hartwick recognized their five seniors. Mikey Schultz (Binghamton, N.Y.), Jack Armstrong (Windham, NH), Brady Haraden (Ballston Spa, N.Y.), Justin Diamond (Morrisville, VT) and Austin Clive (Roslyn, N.Y.).

The Men started their day with the 200 yard medley relay and got off to a good start as Owen James (St. Lutz, Fla.), Hassan Abdelwahed (New Hartford, N.Y.), Sebastian Knowles (Plano, TX) and Schultz clocked in at 1 minute and thirty nine seconds.

Cameron Drake (El Cajon, Cal.) grabbed first in the 1000 yard freestyle, finishing in ten minutes and twenty two seconds. Drake also took first in the 500 yard freestyle, timing in at four minutes and fifty seven seconds.

Bryce Rogers (Fulton, N.Y.) finished first in the 200 yard freestyle, completing his race in one minute and 48 seconds.

Abdelwahed took first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a blistering time of 59.26 seconds. Hassan also finished first in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of two minutes and fifteen seconds.

Schultz followed up with a first place finish of his own in the 200 yard butterfly, breaking the school record with a blazing time of one minute and fifty three seconds. Schultz kept his momentum leading into the 100 yard butterfly, clocking in at 50.50 seconds, breaking the Moyer Pool record.

Jack Armstrong (Windham, NH) placed first in one and three meter diving, scoring 235.85 and 277.65 on six dives. Peyton Humphries (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) had a great day on the board as well, scoring 211.90 in one meter diving and 205.15 in three meter diving.

Schultz capped off his stellar day by taking the 200 IM with a time of one minute and fifty nine seconds.

The final event was the 200 yard freestyle relay, the grouping of Evan Nezat (Jacksonville, NC), Rogers, Abdelwahed and Knowles finishing in one minute and thirty seconds.

Hartwick will head to Alfred State University for a dual meet at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 27th.
