Hawks Drop E8 Contest at Keuka

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Hawks dropped an Empire 8 matchup to Keuka College on Friday night to open their weekend road trip.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • The Wolves built up a 26-point lead over the Hawks after the end of the first half as the home team limited Hartwick's shot attempts to just 22 after getting off 44 of their own.
  • Keuka was especially dominant on the boards across the first twenty minutes of action, pulling down 11 offensive rebounds and collecting 18 second-chance points.
  • Out of the break, the Hawks went on a 10-1 to cut into Keuka's lead with just over 16 minutes remaining in regulation.
  • However, the Wolves regrouped quickly, re-asserting themselves down low to regain their 20-point cushion.
  • Keuka continued to add on to their lead from there to complete the 91-63 win over the Hawks.
  • Despite the loss, the Hawks saw three players score in double figures with sophomore Jaden Carter (Scotch Plains, N.J.) leading the way with 13.
  • Daniel Oyediran (Madison, N.J.) added 11 points, while Shea Barber (Wells Bridge, N.Y.) came off the bench to score 10 points.

The Hawks head to Houghton University tomorrow to take on the Highlanders at 4 PM to wrap up their Empire 8 weekend roadtrip.
