ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks fell behind early and were unable to overcome the early deficit, falling 53-0 against SUNY Brockport on Saturday afternoon.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Hawks struggled to move the ball all afternoon as the visiting Golden Eagles held the home squad to just 72 yards of total offense.
- While Hartwick was forced into negative total rushing yards, first year quarterback Christian Boswell (West Hempstead, N.Y.) threw for 87 yards including a 21-yard connection to Connor Cosgrove (Warwick, N.Y.) in the second half.
- The Hawks stepped up to make some momentum changing plays including a solo sack by Michael Vurchio (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and a combined sack from Ben Kirkland (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Nathan Hartman (Winfield, N.Y.).
- The two sacks combined for a total loss of eight yards.
- Joshua Titus (Greene, N.Y.) got into the back field as well, picking up three tackles for losses.
- Marquis Jones-McKinney (Astoria, N.Y.) led the secondary with three pass break ups.
