ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Hartwick Women's Swim and Dive Team hosted the University of Scranton and Stevens Institute of Technology, suffering their first two losses of the season.

Annabelle Lindsay (Hudson Falls, N.Y.) got the morning started for the Hawks with a strong showing in the one meter, taking second place with a score of 193.30. Lindsay followed up with first place finish in three meter diving, scoring 208.50.

Marielle Rodriguez (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) also shined in the diving events, earning second place in three meter diving with a score of 191.65. Rodriguez finished one meter diving with a score of 182.15 as Hartwick looked to carry their momentum into the afternoon.

The 200 medley relay marked the start of the afternoon as Bree Dy (Matawan, N.J.), Courtney Pierce (Fulton, N.Y.), Aubrey Vaile (Wesley Chapel, Fla.), and Anna Bischoff (Oneonta, N.Y.)Â earned second place, finishing just one second behind the Stevens squad.

Pierce placed third in her first individual event of the day, finishing just .71 seconds behind a Stevens Duck in a tight 200 meter freestyle.

Dy and Vaile posted identical times of one minute and six seconds in the 100 yard backstroke event, tying for third place. Kate Gucciardi (Cicero, N.Y.) finished .31 seconds behind the tandem of Dy and Vaile.

Pierce got the momentum back on the Hawks' side, posting a season best one minute and twenty three second finish for first place in the 100 yard breaststroke event.

Vaile took third place in the 50 yard free, clocking in at 26.52.

Pierce was first to touch the wall in the 200 yard breaststroke, improving on her season best with a finishing mark of two minutes and thirty two seconds.

Min-Syun Chen (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) was strong in the 200 yard breaststroke as well, finishing four seconds behind Pierce for second place.

The Hawks ended their day with the 400 yard freestyle relay as Dy, Bischoff, Cate Russo (San Pedro, Cal.) and Savannah Evans (Livermore, Calif.) posted a four minute and two second finish.

Hartwick's six meet stretch of victories would come to an end as they were defeated by the University of Scranton 113-187 and fell to Stevens 100-188.
