WEBSTER, N.Y. - The Hartwick Hawks Women's Swimming and Diving team is set to compete at the 2025–26 Empire 8 Swimming Championships from February 18–21 at the Webster Aquatic Center in Webster, N.Y. The meet will be hosted by defending champion SUNY Geneseo.
The Hawks enter the championship stage following a stellar 11–3 campaign, highlighted by a perfect 8–0 record at home, the program's first unbeaten home mark since 2009. Hartwick also turned in a strong performance at last year's conference meet, finishing as runner-up to national powerhouse Geneseo.
Hartwick is led by captains Cate Russo (San Pedro, Calif.) and Anna Bischoff (Oneonta, N.Y.), both standout performers in the freestyle events. Min-Syun Chen (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) provides consistency in the breaststroke, while Danielle DeCarlo (Whitesboro, N.Y.) adds versatility in the individual medley events. Aubrey Vaile (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) brings speed to the lineup, complemented by a strong first-year class that includes contributors Cassidy Payrot (Cicero, N.Y.) and Hope Valent (Cary, NC).
On the boards, Annabelle Lindsay (Hudson Falls, N.Y.) looks to add valuable points after a standout junior season in the one- and three-meter diving events, rounding out a balanced and experienced Hawks squad poised for a strong championship showing.
