CASTLETON, Vt. – The Hawks wrapped up their final game of the Spartan Classic on Saturday afternoon with a loss against the hosts, Vermont State University-Castleton.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Hartwick matched Castleton nearly point-for-point throughout the 1st quarter, tying the score up at 10-10 with 3:26 remaining with a layup from Niamh Kelly (Latham, N.Y.).
- The Spartans, however, would go on a 7-2 run from there to take a 17-12 lead into the 2nd quarter.
- Yadi Smith (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) cut Castleton's lead down to three early in the 2nd quarter with a layup of her own.
- Unfortunately, the Spartans would take over from thre, shooting 42% from the floor including a 3 for 4 performance from three-point range to take a 22-point lead into halftime.
- Castleton continued to control the pace of the game in the second half, ultimately taking the win 77-41 over the Hawks.
- Macy Durkin (Syracuse, N.Y.) posted 11 points in the contest and fell just one board shy of the double-double with nine rebounds.
- The Hawks' All-Tournament Team selection, Daniella DeBiase (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished with five points against the Spartans and five against RPI the night before.

The team will return to their home court on Tuesday evening for a 5:30 PM tipoff against the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs.
