ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks started strong, but were unable to hold their early lead, falling in non-conference action against the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Hartwick and Skidmore exchanged leads throughout the majority of the first half.
- However, a late push over the final four minutes of the first half by the Thoroughbreds put them up 36-25 heading into the break.
- The Hawks matched the Thoroughbreds point-for-point early on in the second half, but were unable to get the stops needed to chip away at the visiting team's lead.
- Skidmore on the other hand put together a run mid-way through the second half to extend their lead to 21-points with just under four minutes remaining in the contest.
- The Thoroughbreds would go on to take the win 79-59.
- Henry Perkins (Albany, N.Y.) finished the contest with 15 points while Shane Micallef (Warwick, N.Y.) contributed 12 points.
