WEBSTER, N.Y. – The Hartwick Swim and Dive program completed Day Two of the Allegheny Empire Championship with both squads sitting amongst the top half.

MEN'S RECAP

The 500 freestyle marked the start of Day Two as Cameron Drake (El Cajon, Cal.) clocked in with a time of four minutes and forty seconds to place third, just one second behind second place.

Mikey Schultz (Binghamton, N.Y.) was first to hit the wall in the 200 yard individual medley, finishing in one minute and fifty three seconds.The first place finish added 24 points to the Hawks total.

Hartwick wrapped up their evening with a sixth place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay. Bryce Rogers (Fulton, N.Y.), Sebastian Knowles (Plano, TX), Evan Nezat (Jacksonville, N.C.), and Hassan Abdelwahed (New Hartford, N.Y.) finished their race in one minute and twenty seven seconds.

The Hawks currently sit in first place with a total of 374 points.
WOMEN'S RECAP

Hartwick entered the second day of the Allegheny Empire Championship, sitting at the top rank with 124 points.

Ellie Baird (Wilton, N.Y.) started the evening for the Hawks with a first place finish in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of five minutes and thirteen seconds, giving the team 24 points.

Courtney Pierce (Fulton, N.Y.) placed third in the 200 yard individual medley, completing the race in two minutes and thirteen seconds, giving the Hawks 20 more points.

Marielle Rodriguez (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) placed fourth in one meter diving with eleven dives, scoring 298.70.

Pierce, Baird, Cate Russo (San Pedro, Cal.), and Meghan Geczy (Queensbury, N.Y.) capped off the day for the Hawks with a fourth place finish with a time of one minute and forty three seconds in the 200 yard freestyle relay, earning 38 points.

The Hawks currently rank fourth with 320 points after two days of competition.
