st quarter, but were able to bounce back to ultimately take the 53-42 win.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Both squads struggled to find their offensive rhythm to start the contest with the first basket coming from Bree Fargnoli (Binghamton, N.Y.) around the eight-minute mark.
- However, the Gators went on a nine-point run from there to take the early lead.
- Hartwick's offense stayed cold, with the only other basket coming off of a driving layup from Macy Durkin (Syracuse, N.Y.) as Russell Sage ended the first quarter with a 13-4 lead.
- The Hawks turned things around in the 2nd quarter to knot the score up at 24-24.
- Fargnoli and Isabella Astorino (Warwick, N.Y.) sparked the comeback, scoring seven and six points respectively in the quarter.
- Hartwick completely turned the tables on the Gators in the 3rd quarter, putting up 13 points while only allowing four to take the 37-28 lead entering the final 10 minutes of regulation.
- Despite a tight 4th quarter, the Hawks stayed just a step ahead of the Gators to claim the 53-42 Empire 8 win.
- Three Hawks recorded double figures with Sareena Dicerbo (Schenectady, N.Y.) scoring all 15 of her team-high in the second half.
- Astorino followed with 14 while also pulling down 12 boards for the double-double.
- Fargnoli finished her night with 11.
