The first quarter proved to be a stalemate between the two teams as they found it difficult to generate any kind of offense. The opposition had several promising runs but were halted by the Hawk defense, fueled by Louis Cappelino (Northport, N.Y.) and Cooper Francis (Lynbrook, N.Y.) causing multiple turnovers.

Daniel Beltran (Huntington Station, N.Y.) dominated the midfield, winning 14 face-offs and scooping up ten ground balls.

The scoreless tie was broken a minute into the second quarter when Spencer Hogaboom (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) assisted Seth Bello (Holliston, Mass.) to draw first blood.

Garrett Frost (Wading River, N.Y.) sent a bullet past the goalkeeper for a goal after the feed from Shayne Kerrigan (Foxborough, Mass.) to go up two goals to none.

Hartwick's offense started to click as Bello picked up his second goal from a Hogaboom assist, just 25 seconds after the Frost goal.

Colby Simonetti (Pittsford, N.Y.) found the back of the net after receiving a pass from Colin August (Garrison, N.Y.) for the second goal in a minute for the team.

Mount Saint Mary was able to get on the scoreboard with two consecutive goals before Frost notched his second goal, off a feed from Thomas Cortelli (Pearl River, N.Y.) to go into the half leading 5-2.

The second half got off to a quick start as Frost dished it off to Kerrigan who was able to find the back of the net 32 seconds in.

A minute later, Frost scored his third goal off an assist from Cortelli for his second consecutive hat trick as the Hawks extended their lead.

The second half began and the opposition were able to string together two goals in the opening minutes to chip away at the deficit.

Hogaboom and Kerrigan each scored once more after being assisted by Bello to wrap up the third quarter, leading by seven.

Bello dished it off to Simonetti for a goal, making it three straight assists for Bello.

Tyler Nocito (Mahopac, N.Y.) snuck one past the keeper, just 40 seconds after the Simonetti goal.

Kerrigan completed the hat trick, after a great set up from Liam Kinnane (Far Rockaway, N.Y.).

Nocito and Hogaboom each registered their second goal as the Hogaboom goal marked the last score of the game as the Hawks were victorious.

Frost and Kerrigan each finished with three goals and Bello led with three assists.
