SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Hartwick Women's Lacrosse Team traveled to Skidmore College and were defeated by the Thoroughbreds.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Hartwick found themselves trailing early in the game as Skidmore was able to string four goals together in the first eight minutes.

Katrina Marten (Middlesex, N.Y.) was able to draw defenders towards her, freeing up a cutting Hanna Goodreau (North Reading, Mass.) who rifled one near post for their first goal at the seven minute mark.

Kara Anderson (Collingwood, Ont.) took advantage of the man-up situation, converting on the free position shot to chip away at the lead before the end of the first half.

The second half began and after a Skidmore goal, Claudia Pollaro (Queensbury, N.Y.) answered back with a goal after a Thoroughbred green card for the lone goal of the quarter.

Anderson found her second goal of the game after a pass from Elle Stringer (Rensselaer, N.Y.) in the pening minutes of the fourth quarter.

Marten spotted Goodreau once more for their final goal as the Hawks fell to Skidmore.

Goodreau and Anderson each scored two goals and Marten notched two assists.

Hartwick will travel to Panama City Beach, Florida for the Spring Fling Women's Lacrosse Tournament, beginning on March 19th against Worcester State at 11 AM (EDST) / 10 AM (CDST).
