ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks were unable to catch up to the Farmingdale State College Rams on Saturday afternoon, falling 15-9 in non-conference action.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Farmingdale State came out strong against the Hawks, scoring twice within the first 3 minutes of play.
- With 4:56 remaining in the 1st quarter, Tyler Nocito (Mahopac, N.Y.) put the Hawks on the board with Liam McManus (Skillman, N.J.) picking up the assist.
- The Rams responded quickly, finding the back of the net twice within 8 seconds of each other in the waning minutes of the opening quarter.
- Hartwick made a push in 2nd quarter with an unassisted strike from Garrett Frost (Wading River, N.Y.) to cut the Rams' lead in half.
- After another Farmingdale tally, Shayne Kerrigan (Foxborough, Mass.) would pick up his first of three goals on the afternoon to keep the Hawks within striking distance.
- The senior midfielder notched his second goal of the game with 2:20 remaining in the half to put Hartwick within three entering halftime.
- Frost capitalized on an early 3rd quarter Farmingdale penalty, finding the back of the net off of a Kerrigan pass, making the score 6-8 in favor of the Rams.
- Unfortunately for Hartwick, Farmingdale notched five goals in the 3rd to take a commanding 13-7 lead entering the final 15 minutes of play.
- The Hawks made one final push in the 4th behind goals from Colby Simonetti (Pittsford, N.Y.) and Colin August (Garrison, N.Y.) but it was not enough as the Rams also scored twice in the final quarter to claim the 15-9 win.
