ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hartwick Men's Lacrosse team took the short trip up the road for their first away contest of the season, facing off against the Red Dragons.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Hawks began the game trailing after conceding an early goal within the first two minutes.

Garrett Frost (Wading River, N.Y.) shifted momentum in favor of Hartwick, scoring his first goal, four minutes in to open up the scoring for the team.

Tyler Nocito (Mahopac, N.Y.) followed up with a goal of his own at the ten minute mark for the lead but the opponent answered back with several goals.

Shayne Kerrigan (Foxborough, Mass.) was able to spot and dish it off to a lurking Seth Bello (Holliston, Mass.) who was able to sneak one past the keeper for his first goal of the game to bring the Hawks within striking distance.

Luke Ward (Attleboro, Mass.) was able to snag the ground ball off a Hartwick shot and find the back of the net for his first collegiate goal to pull within one in the closing seconds as the first quarter ended 5-4.

Frost tied the game up at five, rifling one past the outstretched keeper, five minutes into the second quarter.

Oneonta responded with a goal of their own to regain their lead with eight minutes left in the half.

Chris Andersen (Schnecksville, Pa.) denied the opposition of two great scoring opportunities to keep the deficit at two at the end of the first half.

Bello spotted a cutting Spencer Hogaboom (Poughkeepsie, N.Y) who put one past the keeper for the first goal of the second half.

Liam McManus (Skillman, N.J.) scored with nine minutes left to knot the teams up at 7 goals each.

The Hawks began to trail as the opposition showed resistance as they held a four goal lead by the end of the third.

Hartwick gave it their all in attempts of a comeback as Bello notched his second goal and Frost completed his hat trick with his third goal, but unfortunately ran out of time.
