PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLA. – The Hartwick Women's Lacrosse Team defeated Western New England to wrap up a flawless Spring Fling Women's Lacrosse Tournament.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Hartwick found themselves down early, conceding two goals to the Golden Bears in the first eight minutes.

Kristen Vaccarelli (Dix Hills, N.Y.) opened up the scoring for the Hawks, scoring at the seven minute mark.

Kara Anderson (Collingwood, Ont.) followed up with a goal a minute later to tie the game after being assisted by Vaccarelli.

Vaccarelli notched her second goal of the game to take the lead with three minutes left in the first.

Katrina Marten (Middlesex, N.Y.) found the back of the net with 21 seconds left on the clock to extend the Hartwick lead.

The first half of the second quarter was scoreless until Marten scored another goal to go up 5-2.

A Western New England Yellow Card led to a free-position goal by Vaccarelli to notch back to back hat tricks.

Claudia Pollaro (Queensbury, N.Y.) was able to dish it to Anderson who was able to put it past the keeper for her second goal and 100th career point.

Hartwick ended the first half leading by six after Vaccarelli was able to score once more in the final three minutes.

The second half began with an early Golden Bear foul that was turned into another free-position goal by Vaccarelli 39 seconds in.

The nine goal scoring run for the Hawks came to an end as Western New England scored, making it 9-3.

Vacarelli scored two goals over the next seven minutes to bring her to a game high seven goals, tying her career high.

Marten followed with two consecutive goals of her own with Pollaro assisting on one of the goals.

Pollaro took advantage of an opposing yellow card, scoring a man-up goal with 30 seconds left in the third after being assisted by Vaccarelli.

Marten scored the two Hartwick goals in the fourth quarter, tying her career high six goals.

Brooke Lynett (Acton, Mass.) and Alexa Patrakis (Wilbraham, Mass.) earned six and five saves respectively as they each played one half.
