CORTLAND, N.Y. – One day after winning their season and conference opener, the Hawks picked up another victory Sunday afternoon 7-0 against non-conference foe, SUNY Cortland.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Hartwick got a jump start on securing their doubles point as 3rd doubles tandem, Samantha Lantzy (Valatie, N.Y.) and Maggie Van Valkenburgh (Highland, N.Y.) made quick work of their opponent, winning 6-1.
- First doubles team, Alexandra Krasinska (Pine Island, N.Y.) and Lily Vanuga (Springville, N.Y.) clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win.
- Even though the doubles point was secured, the 2nd doubles team of Ryann Ashby (Malta, N.Y.) and Colleen Marsh (Marcellus, N.Y.) also picked up a 6-3 win.
- Up 1-0 headed into the singles round, the Hawks picked up their second point when Van Valkenburgh breezed through her match at 5th singles with a straight set 6-0, 6-0 victory.
- Krasinska secured the third point for the Hawks with a 6-0, 6-3 win at 1st singles.
- Gianna Leggieri (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) came through with the match-clinching point at 4th singles, winning 6-2, 6-0.
- Hartwick completed the sweep with wins from Lantzy at 3rd singles, Marsh at 6th singles, and Vanuga at 2nd singles.
