HOW IT HAPPENED

Barry would later go on to secure the win in the 200 yard individual medley.
The men's 1000 yard freestyle would highlight a second place finish for Cameron Drake (El Cajon, Cal.) and a third place finish from Matthew Cole (Wolcott, N.Y.). Drake would later strike again to take second in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.71 and earn first in the 500 yard freestyle.
The 100 yard backstroke was a bright spot for the Hawks, as all three competitors took the top three finishes, with Karim Mohamed (New Hartford, N.Y.) finishing in under a minute to take first. Hassan Abdelwahed (New Hartford, N.Y.) would take first in both the 100 yard breaststroke and the 200 yard breaststroke soon after.
Though Ramapo would secure first place in both the 200 yard butterfly and the 50 yard freestyle, the Hawks would post solid finishes to take second and third in both events. Bryce Rogers (Fulton, N.Y.) would answer back for Hartwick with a 53.57 finish in the 100 yard butterfly to take the lead.
The day concluded with the 200 yard freestyle relay, where upperclassmen Abdelwahed, Behniaye, Drake, and Rogers would combine for a first place finish to beat Ramapo by less than a second. Overall, the Hawks would walk away with 134 points and a victory, 6 points above the Ramapo Roadrunners.
