Hope Angioletti would lead the Hawks' offense in scoring, earning herself a brace while Klotz also tallied a goal and an assist. To top it off, Caroline Aspuru (Farmingville, N.Y.) was a force to be reckoned with in the circle, recording assists on 2 of the Hawks' goals tonight.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hawks were hot this evening, with Dani Hand setting the pace and making a shot attempt less than one minute into the game, though it would be deflected away by the goalkeeper. 'Wick would then tally three more shot attempts off of two penalty corners before Hand would bring the Hawks up the midfield and bury the first goal of the evening nearly six minutes into the game. The first quarter would see nine more shots and six more corner attempts from the Hawks, while Sage was left shotless.
The Gators made their lone shot attempt to open the second quarter, though Reynolds was a brick wall in the cage. The Hawks truly took flight then, with Natalie O'Malley (Pleasantville, N.Y.) sinking her second goal of the season off a stellar pass from Aspuru. Less than six minutes later, Angioletti would snag a goal, with Aspuru again credited with the assist. The Hawks' fourth goal of the evening came after their thirteenth penalty corner, with Klotz able to corral a wild ball and sneak it past the goalie to bring the Royal Blue and White lead to 4-0.
Makayla Bales (Sidney, N.Y.) would continue her upward trajectory by utilizing a rebound in a penalty corner opportunity to bury a goal, her second in the past three games. Sage began to come alive and maintain possession throughout the midfield, especially going into the fourth quarter. However, the Hawks would not let up, with Angioletti sending a heater from the top of the circle off an insert from Klotz to widen their lead to 6-0. Both Bales and first-year Lexi Cheeseman (Owego, N.Y.) would make shot attempts in the final six minutes of play, but the Gators were able to hold off the Hawks' attack for the remainder of the game, though the Hawks still walked away with a tremendous conference victory.
