SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Hartwick Men's Swim and Dive Team completed their final regular season meet, placing third in the loaded Skidmore Sprint Invite.

The Hawks prepared for a competitive regular season finale, competing amongst Skidmore, Vassar, Bard, and SUNY Delhi.

Hartwick opened up their afternoon with a third place finish in the 200 yard medley relay. The strong grouping of Evan Nezat (Jacksonville, N.C.), Hassan Abdelwahed (New Hartford, N.Y.), Bryce Rogers (Fulton, N.Y.), and Sebastian Knowles (Plano, TX) combined for a time of one minute and 40 seconds.

Abdelwahed claimed the first individual event of the afternoon, battling against a Skidmore swimmer in the 500 yard freestyle, edging out his competition by .23 seconds, posting a finishing mark of 5:01.38.

Rogers was next to claim an event, taking the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 53.91 seconds.

Abdelwahed kept the Hawks rolling, blazing through the 50 yard freestyle in 22.08 seconds.

Peyton Humphries (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) placed first in the three meter diving event, scoring 208.65. Humphries later placed second in one meter diving, posting a score of 230.63.

Rogers picked up a third place finish in the 50 yard butterfly, posting a time of 24.42 seconds. Bryce capped off his solid day with the 50 yard backstroke, finishing in third with a 27.76 second finish.

Hassan Abdelwahed ended his day with another tightly contested race, this time in the 100 yard breaststroke. Abdelwahed finished the 100 yard breaststroke in 59.55 seconds, taking first place by .28 seconds.

The Hawks amassed a total of 370 points, taking third place as they set their sights on the Empire 8 Championships.
