ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Hartwick Men's Swimming and Diving prepare for the 2024-25 Empire 8 Swimming and Diving Championships, looking to repeat as Empire 8 Champions.

The Hawks enter the 2024-25 postseason, winners of 10 dual meets in the regular season, being led by sophomore standouts Hassan Abdelwahed (New Hartford, N.Y.) and Cameron Drake (El Cajon, Cal.)Â Abdelwahed and Drake will put their individual titles up for grabs as Hassan is the defending champion in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events and Drake holds the crown in the 500 and 1650 freestyle events.
Bryce Rogers (Fulton, N.Y.), Sebastian Knowles (Plano, TX), and Evan Nezat (Jacksonville, N.C.) further bolster the men's roster, hoping to make a splash in the sprint events and help maintain the same championship formula from last year. Hartwick will also defend their relay title in the 800 meter freestyle relay, having taken first place in last year's championship. Peyton Humphries (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) will represent 'Wick in the one and three meter diving events.

The 2024-25 Empire 8 Swimming and Diving Championships will take place from Wednesday, February 19 to Saturday, February 22 at the Webster Aquatic Center in Webster, N.Y.. At the conclusion of the meet, an Empire 8 women's and men's team champion will be crowned as well as a Male and Female Swimmer and Diver of the Meet. The top three finishers in each event will also be recognized.
