The Hawks geared up for their annual Battle of the Hills with the Red Dragons, this time going head to head at Wright Stadium.

Oneonta set the tone early, taking the opening face-off and pushing it down the field for the score in the opening minute.

The Red Dragons kept up the tempo, scoring two goals in a minute to take a 3-0 lead in the first three minutes of competition.

Hartwick looked to get back into the contest, generating shots on goal but were unable to put together an end product.

With the first quarter coming to a close, Oneonta scored their fourth goal of the quarter as the Hawks were held scoreless in the first.

As the second quarter got underway, Coach LaSala's squad came out with high intensity. Colby Simonetti (Pittsford, N.Y.) ripped his first goal of the game into the back of the net in the opening minute.

Oneonta found their first goal of the second quarter at the 12 minute mark but Tyler Nocito (Mahopac, N.Y.) was quick to answer back with a goal of his own.

Garrett Frost (Wading River, N.Y.) got the Hawks within two, striking for his first goal of the game at the six minute mark.

The Red Dragons controlled the rest of the first half, connecting for two more goals to push their lead back to four.

'Wick looked for a way to slow down the Red Dragon attack as they began to piece it together on offense with Spencer Hogaboom (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) leading the charge.

Hogaboom sent a rocket past the Oneonta keeper for his first score of the night at the seven minute mark. The offense continued to flow through Hogaboom as he set up Frost with a wonderful dish as Garrett fired a bullet into the side netting for his second goal of the night and his 100th career point.

The final six minutes of the third was a battle for possession as both defenses grew stingy as the physicality of the contest continued to rise.

With the final 15 minutes beginning to tick away, the Red Dragons broke the stalemate with an early goal in the fourth.

Colin August (Garrison, N.Y.) continues to find the back of the net for the Royal Blue and White, connecting on a tough goal through contract as Tararihwakohe Lazore (Hogansburg, N.Y.) picked up the assist.

Oneonta's offense hit another hot streak, connecting for two goals in under a minute as the Hawks conceded their biggest lead yet of six.

Nocito knocked down his second goal of the game as the Hawks went down five with seven minutes left to mount a comeback.

The Red Dragons struck one more time to close the door on the Hawks' hope for a comeback attempt.
