St. John Fisher set the tone early and never looked back, opening the contest with four goals over the first ten minutes.

Hartwick found their first score of the afternoon after Katrina Marten (Middlesex, N.Y.) caused the defense to collapse, opening a lane for the cutting Maura Donoghue (Paramus, N.J.).

Donoghue was able to take the pass in stride and fire it past the keeper into the right side netting, with four minutes and 35 seconds left.

Fisher strung together four more goals over the course of the final two minutes of the first and the opening two minutes of the second.

The potent tandem of Katrina Marten and Kristen Vaccarelli (Dix Hills, N.Y.) put a halt to the Cardinal scoring run, Marten notched her second assist as Vaccarelli found the back of the net with eleven minutes remaining.

St. John Fisher stayed in control, tacking on four more goals to close out the first half with a double digit lead.

Fisher flexed their firepower in the third, outscoring the Hawks 7-0 in the quarter as they padded their lead.

Kara Anderson (Collingwood, Ont.) capitalized on a Fisher foul, earning a free-position attempt and buried a difficult shot under pressure off the top post and in for the Hawks' final score of the day.

The Hawks fought hard until the final buzzer but ultimately fell to nationally ranked Cardinals, who have not lost an Empire 8 conference game since 2018 to Stevens.

Brooke Lynett (Acton, Mass.) was a bright spot for the Hawks in between the pipes, collecting 11 saves in three quarters, capturing her 200th career save.
