ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Hartwick College Athletics Hall of Fame Committee is pleased to announce the 2025 Hall of Fame class.

The induction ceremony will take place in the evening on Saturday, September 20, in the Anderson Center for the Arts as part of Hartwick College's True Blue Weekend festivities.

"This is an absolutely star-studded class that will bring great honor and prestige to our Hartwick Athletics Hall of Fame," said Paul Vecchio, executive director of athletics. "I am elated for our incoming inductees to earn this recognition which is absolutely fitting based on their incredible accomplishments and for their unceasing love and support of our athletic department. I cannot wait to celebrate with them and their families during what promises to be a memorable True Blue Weekend and Hall of Fame ceremony."

Lindsay Bowker '14 (Diving): A standout collegiate diver, Bowker made history in 2014 as the first female diver in program history to compete at the NCAA Championships. She placed 20th in the 3-meter and 23rd in the 1-meter events at the national level, capping off a record-setting career.
Over four seasons, she tallied 1,130 points and earned 58 individual diving victories. In 2013, Bowker was an NCAA Championships alternate and placed 7th at the NCAA Diving Regional. That same season, she broke school records at both St. Lawrence and RPI.
A consistent podium finisher, Bowker holds all four of her program's diving records:

Lindsay Bowker's contributions helped lead the team to a combined 44-19 record over four seasons, with top finishes in the Empire 8 Conference (E8) and the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association (NYSWCAA), including a 39th-place team finish at the NCAA level in 2012–13.

Olivia Colebourne '07 (Water Polo): A standout collegiate goalkeeper and international competitor, Colebourne built an exceptional career marked by dominance in the pool and academic excellence. A three-time All-Conference selection, she earned CWPA Northern Division First Team honors in 2006 and 2007, and Second Team honors in 2005. She was also named to the AWPCA All-Academic Team in both 2006 and 2007, and earned Eastern Championships Second Team recognition in 2007.
Colebourne was a key contributor to Hartwick's national success, helping lead the team to an overall 88-30 record over three seasons, including back-to-back CWPA Eastern titles and top-6 finishes at the NCAA Championships (6th in 2006, 5th in 2007). In 2005, she helped secure the CWPA North title.
Statistically, Colebourne remains one of the most accomplished goalkeepers in program history. She holds the Hartwick record for most career keeper steals with 205, and most season assists with 49. Colebourne also ranks third all-time in career saves, piling up 799 while finishing 7th and 9th in single-season saves, collecting 285 in 2007 and 260 in 2005. Olivia also ranks 7th amongst all players in career steals with 205.
Olivia Colebourne's international experience includes representing New Zealand as a member of the national team, further showcasing her elite skill set and leadership on the global stage.

Thom Meredith '73 (Friend): Thom Meredith is a seasoned sports executive and communications professional with a remarkable career spanning collegiate athletics, international soccer, and global sporting events. Beginning as a student intern in the Sports Information Office at Hartwick College and writing for The Daily Star, Meredith quickly established a lifelong commitment to sport and service.
A dedicated Hartwick alum, Meredith served on the 2009 Athletics Task Force and was a member of the Hartwick College Alumni Board of Directors from 2012 to 2015. In recognition of continued dedication and impact, he was named Hartwick's Outstanding Volunteer in 2016. In 2024, Meredith was awarded the President's Medal for Extraordinary and Exemplary Loyalty to the College. Earlier this year, the College named a speaker series - the Meredith Sport Management Speaker Series - in his honor to reflect his profound influence on the industry and his dedication to shaping future professionals.Â
Professionally, Meredith made history as the first-ever Director of Events for the U.S. Soccer Federation during the 1990s, playing a pivotal role in shaping the federation's event operations. This was followed by executive leadership roles as First Vice President of Operations for both the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) and its successor, Women's Professional Soccer (WPS). Earlier in his career, Thom also served as PR Director for four franchises in the North American Soccer League: the Tampa Bay Rowdies, Washington Diplomats, Philadelphia Fury, and Dallas Tornado.
Over the span of several decades, he has played an integral role in organizing and hosting major international teams and events, including Barcelona FC and Manchester United on six North American tours stretching from 2000-2010 as well as serving as the Venue Director for Philadelphia during the 2016 Copa América Centenario. Meredith was also the last American to host the Iranian National Team, completing the tour in 2000.

Marcus Morreale '95 (Men's Lacrosse): Morreale was a cornerstone of the Hartwick men's lacrosse team during its early 1990s rise to national prominence. After transferring from Syracuse University, he spent three seasons (1993–1995) as a standout defender for the Hawks, helping guide the program to a 31-13 record and historic postseason success.
In 1995, Morreale helped lead Hartwick to its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance, capping off a 12-3 season. The team also won back-to-back ECAC Upstate Tournament Championships in 1993 and 1994.
A two-time Empire Athletic Association First Team all-star and 1993 Second Team honoree, Morreale was recognized nationally as a 1994 USILA Honorable Mention All-American and a 1995 USILA Second Team All-American. He capped his collegiate career by competing in the prestigious 1995 North/South Senior All-Star Game.
Over three seasons, Morreale compiled three goals, six assists, and nine points, as well as corralling 171 ground balls over his career.
A steady force on defense and a leader in transition play, Marcus Morreale left a lasting impact on the field and in the record books, playing a key role in one of the most successful eras in Hartwick lacrosse history.

Mark Phillips '06 (Diving): A trailblazer in the diving well, Phillips was one of the most decorated divers in Hartwick College history. A three-time Honorable Mention All-American in 3-meter diving (2003–06), he became the first diver in program history to qualify for the NCAA Championships in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
Known for consistency and excellence at the highest levels, Phillips capped his senior season with Second-Team All-Conference honors in the 3-meter event at the 2005–06 Empire 8 Conference Championships.
He left his mark on the Hartwick record books, holding:

During his four-year career, Hartwick posted a 32-18 team record, including a state championship and a 30th-place NCAA finish in 2005–06, along with top-50 national finishes in the prior two seasons.
A consistent performer and record-setter, Mark Phillips helped elevate Hartwick's diving program to national recognition during his standout collegiate career.

Dale Rothenberger (Head Men's & Women's Swim and Dive Coach): Â A cornerstone of Hartwick College athletics for nearly four decades, Coach Rothenberger has built one of the most successful and enduring legacies in collegiate swimming and diving. Serving as the head coach of both the men's and women's programs since 1985, Rothenberger has guided the Hawks to national prominence through sustained excellence, leadership, and dedication.
With 38 NCAA Championship appearances—22 for the men and 16 for the women—Coach Dale has helped define competitive consistency on a national scale.Â

1991-1992 Men's Swim and Dive Team: The 1991–92 Hartwick Men's Swimming & Diving team stands alone in program history as the only squad to complete a perfect season, finishing with a flawless 12-0 dual meet record and capturing both the EAA and UNYSCSA Conference Championships.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Dale Rothenberger, the team set a new standard for excellence—claiming first place at the Union Relays and the Rochester Invitational, and qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships, where they placed 57th nationally.
This powerhouse group was also a critical part of an unprecedented 29-0 winning streak that spanned more than three seasons—the longest in program history—cementing their legacy as one of the most dominant swim and dive teams Hartwick has ever produced.

The Hartwick College Athletics Hall of Fame honors those who have made outstanding contributions to Hartwick's intercollegiate athletics program. Its purpose is to perpetuate the memory of those who have brought distinction, honor and excellence to Hartwick College through their athletic accomplishments. With the addition of the 2025 class, the Athletic Department will have inducted 183 former student-athletes, coaches, teams and supporters into the Hall of Fame.
