ONEONTA, N.Y. – Hartwick College Head Women's Lacrosse Coach, Honora Fallon-Oben, has recently hired Emily DiGaetano as her new Assistant Coach, effective August 18th, 2025.
DiGaetano comes to Hartwick after most recently serving as Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at Susquehanna University for approximately two years. During her time with the River Hawks, DiGaetano was primarily responsible for developing the defensive aspects of the game and working with goaltenders. She played a key role in leading the team to a 13-6 season in 2024—the most program wins for the River Hawks since 2013. On an individual level, DiGaetano helped facilitate the development of seven Landmark All-Conference selections, three IWLCA All-Region selections, as well as three CSC Academic All-District selections.
"We are so thrilled to welcome Coach Emily DiGaetano to our program!" exclaims Fallon-Oben. "Emily brings fantastic experience in recruiting, promoting a competitive and enriching environment, and extensive knowledge of the game, particularly on the defensive side of the ball, as well as goalkeeping. During the hiring process, it was evident that Emily's values closely align with our program and we are so excited to get to work together!"
DiGaetano graduated from Susquehanna University after an impressive career playing both collegiate women's lacrosse and field hockey, with a field hockey championship title under her belt.
"I am very excited to join the Hartwick family! From my first moments on campus, I felt welcomed by all, as if I'd already been part of the team," DiGaetano says. "I can't wait to work with the athletes, Coach Nora Fallon-Oben, and the Hartwick community."
