ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hartwick Women's Soccer program has been ranked eighth in Region III, as announced by United Soccer Coaches on September 9, 2025.
The Hawks earned regional recognition after a strong start to the season, highlighted by their Mayor's Cup championship on home field. Region III features some of the most competitive programs in Division III, including teams from the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), Empire 8, Skyline, and Liberty League.
"It's great to get early recognition for the hard work we've put in," said Head Coach Brian Knapp. "If you ask the team, they'll all say the same thing though: 'Job's not finished.' We are excited to keep working and know we can only get better from here."
Hartwick opened the 2025 campaign with a draw against city rival Oneonta before securing a 3-0 win in their home opener over SUNY Morrisville. The Hawks then battled through a challenging Mayor's Cup slate, earning a win and a draw against Liberty League opponents RPI and Skidmore to claim the program's first tournament crown since 2018.
This marks Hartwick's first appearance in the regional rankings since 2019, signaling the program's continued growth and resurgence.
