ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hartwick Women's Tennis team returned to Wilber Park on Wednesday afternoon and defended their home courts in dominant fashion, blanking SUNY Delhi 7-0 in non-conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Hartwick wasted no time setting the tone in doubles play. At No.1 doubles, Lily Vanuga (Springville, N.Y.) and Samantha Lantzy (Valatie, N.Y.) posted a flawless 6-0 victory. Maddi Morrison (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) and Elise Beauharnois (Peru, N.Y.) followed suit at No.2 doubles, also winning 6-0 to secure the doubles sweep.
Sasha Garcia (Pueblo, Col.) and Jillian Ferrie (Middle Grove, N.Y.) earned wins at No.3 doubles and No.5 and No.6 singles via forfeit, adding crucial points to Hartwick's tally.
In singles play, Gianna Leggieri (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) and Maggie Van Valkenburgh (Highland, N.Y.) each cruised to straight-set wins at No.3 and No.2, respectively. Lantzy capped off her stellar day with a flawless victory at No.1 singles, and Beauharnois closed the door with a clean sweep at No.4 to lock in the 7-0 final.
The Hawks remain undefeated to open the 2025 season, continuing their dominant run on the courts.
