ONEONTA, N.Y. – Cody Bazemore (Bel Air, Md.) has earned Empire 8 Indoor Track & Field All-Conference honors, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The standout sophomore closed his indoor season on a high note, capturing two silver medals at the Empire 8 Indoor Championships.

The Bel Air native posted a time of 6.91 seconds in the 60-meter dash, earning Second Team All-Conference honors in the event. He followed up with a 22.28-second finish in the 200-meter dash, setting a program record at the time and securing his second Second Team All-Conference selection.

Bazemore collects his first two indoor All-Conference honors and becomes the program's first indoor All-Conference honoree since its reinstatement in 2018. The last such recognition came during the previous outdoor season, when he earned Third Team honors in the long jump.

In addition to Bazemore's accolades, Marquis Jones-Mckinney (Astoria, N.Y.) was named to the Empire 8 Tomorrow's Leaders Team. Jones-Mckinney appeared in every meet, emerging as a leader not only on the track, but also in the classroom and the community.
