COBLESKILL, NY – Hawk Softball faced the Fighting Tigers in a non-conference match up, with their second game getting postponed due to inclement weather.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Hartwick and Cobleskill traded momentum through a high-scoring battle. Both teams came out quiet, going down in order in the first inning as neither side recorded a hit.
Hartwick broke through in the second, with
Nadia Pascucci (Troy, NY) sparking the offense with a double.
Samantha Moore (Mamaroneck, NY) followed with a single to put runners into scoring position. An
Anna Klein (Souderton, PA) ground out brought Pascucci home, giving the Hawks an early 1-0 advantage. Cobleskill answered in the bottom half, tying the score with a lead off double and an RBI.
The game shifted in the third inning, with Cobleskill erupting for six runs on six hits, capitalizing on a pair of errors to take a 7-1 lead. In the fourth inning, the Hawks rallied to bring themselves back into the lead. Moore doubled to kickstart the inning,
Casey O'Connor (Albany, NY) following with an RBI double.
Alicea Seitzinger (Bridgeton, NJ) added an RBI single, with
Madi Hoerman (Portage, MI) delivering a two-run single to help fuel the comeback. Pascucci and
Sierra Phillips (Salem, NY) each drove in runs, with Moore capping the inning with another RBI. At 8-7, Hartwick took their second lead of the day.
Cobleskill responded in the bottom, a triple and a sacrifice fly tying the game. A series of hits and another error allowed the Fighting Tigers to plate three runs, reclaiming the lead and finalizing the score at a 10-8 advantage after a final stretch of hitless innings.
