ONEONTA, NY – The Hawks faced the Keuka College Wolves in a conference double-header, coming up short in both games. In between contests,
Nadia Pascucci,
Emily Holladay, and
Shelby Swartz were honored for senior day, marking incredible collegiate softball careers.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1)
Hartwick fell 2-1 to Keuka in their first match-up despite a late-game push and strong defensive stretches.
Both teams came out slow offensively, combining for just one hit through the first two innings. Hartwick's defense held firm early, highlighted by clean innings in the first and second to keep the game scoreless.
The turning point came in the third, where Keuka capitalized on an error to extend the inning, following with a 2-run homerun to take the lead.
Hartwick settled in from there, the Hawks limiting Keuka to just two hits over the final four innings.
Jaidan Beak (Matawan, MI) broke through in the sixth, sparking the rally with a double.
Nadia Pascucci (Troy, NY) followed with an RBI double to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Hartwick threatened again in the seventh, putting the tying run in scoring position after a
Mihaly Blake (Troy, NY) double. Keuka was able to work out of the jam and hold on for the win. Despite the loss, Hartwick's pitching and defense kept them within striking distance throughout the contest, allowing just three total hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2)
The Hawks struck immediately in the bottom of the first inning of their second game.
Madi Hoerman (Portage, MI) set the tone with a leadoff triple before coming home on Pascucci's RBI groundout.
Samantha Moore (Mamaroneck, NY) later doubled to spark another opportunity, and
Shelby Swartz added an RBI to give Hartwick a 2-0 advantage.
Keuka chipped away in the third with a run on a sacrifice bunt, but Hartwick maintained control through four innings behind solid defense and pitching.
The momentum shifted in the fifth, when a two-run home run put Keuka in front with a 3-2 advantage. Despite chances to respond, including a runner reaching third in the fifth, Hartwick couldn't deliver the tying hit.
Keuka added an insurance run in the seventh, stringing together multiple hits to extend the lead. Hartwick was unable to answer in the final frame, going down in order to seal the 5-2 result.
