HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2)
The Hawks struck first in the third inning when Ashlee Stevens (Knox, NY) reached on an error, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt from Sierra Phillips, and scored on a passed ball for the game's opening run.

Hartwick threatened again in the fourth with back-to-back singles from Shannon Mentz (Binghamton, NY) and Brianna Blake (Mechanicville, NY), but Brockport worked out of the inning to keep it a one-run game.

The Golden Eagles responded in the fifth, using four runs on four hits to take the lead. Hartwick added one final run in the seventh when Alicea Seitzinger (Bridgeton, NJ) delivered an RBI single to center field, scoring Stevens after she reached on a fielder's choice and stole second.

Madi Hoerman (Portage, MI) added a sixth inning single and a stolen base, while Mihaly Blake (Troy, NY) also recorded a hit in the seventh. Hartwick finished with six hits in the contest, but were unable to capitalize, falling in their second game with a narrow 2-5 deficit.
