ALBANY, NY – Women's tennis earned a dominant 7-0 victory over Sage, sweeping all six singles matches and all three doubles matches.
Hartwick opened the afternoon by securing all three doubles points.
Samantha Lantzy (Valatie, N.Y.) and
Gianna Leggieri (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) earned a 6-0 victory at first doubles, while
Autumn Millington (Rome, N.Y.) and
Elise Beauharnois (Peru, N.Y.) also posted a 6-0 win at second doubles.
Ciara McManus (Kingston, N.Y.) and
Sasha Garcia (Pueblo, Co.) completed the doubles sweep with a 6-2 victory at third doubles.
The Hawks carried the momentum into singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets.
Lantzy led the way at first singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over her opponent. Leggieri followed with a 6-4, 6-0 win at second singles, while Beauharnois defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-2.
Millington added a 6-1, 6-0 victory at fourth singles, while McManus earned a 6-4, 6-4 win at fifth singles. Garcia closed out the singles sweep with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at sixth singles.
