Makayla Bales (Sidney, N.Y./Sidney) scoring the game-winning goal with 8:45 remaining in regulation to break a 2-2 tie.

Hope Angioletti (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay) and senior
Katelyn Klotz (South Glens Falls, N.Y./South Glens Falls) each scored a goal, while sophomore
Mary McCarvill (Pleasantville, N.Y./Kennedy Catholic Preparatory) also found the back of the cage late in the thir quarter that gave the Hawks their first lead of the game. Bales added an assist, while junior
Kayla Kinkel (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay) and junior
Molly Schoenfeldt (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) each recorded an assist. Angioletti and Bales each finished with four shots, while Klotz recorded three shots, all on goal.
Junior
Ava Reynolds (South Glens Falls, N.Y./South Glens Falls) made 13 saves to earn the victory, including nine saves during a busy third quarter. The outstanding effort put her over 200 career saves for her career.
Hartwick finished with a 22-21 advantage in shots and a 16-16 tie in shots on goal. The Hawks earned 15 penalty corners compared to six for Skidmore.
Skidmore opened the scoring in the first quarter to take an early advantage, but Hartwick answered when Angioletti converted on a penalty corner with 3:24 remaining in the period, assisted by Kinkel. The score remained tied through halftime despite several Hartwick opportunities throughout the first half
The third quarter saw the game open up, with three total goals and several opportunties to score on both sides. Skidmore took a 2-1 lead on a penalty stroke before Klotz tied the game at 2-2 with 5:29 remaining in the period, assisted by Schoenfeldt. McCarvill then put Hartwick ahead, 3-2, with 1:07 remaining, finishing a play set up by Bales. However, Skidmore answered just 40 seconds into the fourth quarter to make it 3-3.
Bales provided the decisive goal at the 51:15 mark, giving Hartwick a 4-3 advantage. Senior
Dani Hand (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) had her initial shot saved off a Hartwick penalty corner, but Bales was there for the rebound, poking the ball in for the score. The Hawks then controlled the final minutes, earning several penalty corners and forcing Sylvestri into a series of saves. Reynolds also made two saves in the final eight minutes as Hartwick secured the victory.
