2012-13: Posted 14 wins on the year …had five second-place and third-place finishes … was a part of nine winning relay teams and one second-place team … sixth on the team in points with 379.75 … member of the 400 free relay team that set a new association and Hartwick record at UNYSCSCA/Empire 8 Championship …  team participated in the NCAA Championships and placed 19^th …was a part of the 800 free relay team that posted a school-record time of 6:45.14 and earned honorable mention All-American honors .. also was a part of the 200 medley (19^th) and 400 free relay (19^th) teams.

2011-12: 18 wins were the most by a freshman … had 15 second- place and four third-place races … was a part of eight winning teams, three that came in second-place and five that came in third-place in relay races … third on the team in points with 634.5 ... was a member of the 800 free relay team that won state and Empire 8 titles with an association and school record time of 6:46.45 … 400 free relay team also set a new school record and was the thirteenth-fastest in the nation … earned honorable mention All-America honors in 500 free at the NCAA Championships … was a part of 800 free relay team that came in fifteenth place (6:48.69) and received honorable mention All-America honors … also earned honorable mention All-America accolades with the 400 free relay team after a thirteenth place finish (3:03.89) ... winner of the Tim O'Brien Memorial Award  for most outstanding male freshman athlete.

Personal: Born August 27, 1993 ... son of Rosemary Carmera and Joe Blaney ... undecided on a major.

Prior to Hartwick: Attended NYC Lab School ... junior national qualifier ... junior olympic overall champion ... swam for Laguardia Aquatic Club.
