Kevin Merker returned to the Hartwick football staff for his fifth season as the linebackers coach in the fall of 2019.
A four-year member of the Hartwick football program from 2011 to 2014, Merker served as a student assistant coach in his senior season helping coach inside and outside linebackers after suffering a season-ending injury. He also interned at the South Florida Select Football Camp in Boca Raton, FL in 2014 from February to June.
Merker recorded 15 tackles at the linebacker position for the Hawks. He registered a career-best four unassisted tackles on September 22, 2012 in a game against St. John Fisher.
The Enfield, CT native lettered in both football and track at Enfield High School. He was a two-year captain.
Merker graduated in May 2015 from Hartwick with a degree in Business Administration.
