Tom Peabody begins his second season as an assistant coach with Hartwick football in the fall of 2020. He will work with the Hawks’ defensive backs this season.
Peabody is no stranger to Hartwick football as he wrapped up a successful career in 2018. He played in 22 games at defensive back registering 73 tackles, which included 47 unassisted hits. Peabody registered five interceptions, a pair of sacks, 13 passes defended, and one forced fumble as a Hawk.
As a senior, Peabody led his team and ranked fourth in the Empire 8 Conference with four picks. He was third on the squad in passes defended (4) and seventh in tackles (34). Peabody’s final game in a ’Wick uniform was perhaps his best as he recorded eight tackles, intercepted two passes, forced a fumble, and defended one pass against St. John Fisher.
Peabody earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Hartwick in 2019.
