Tony Dilello

Tony Dilello begins his eleventh season as an assistant coach with Hartwick football in the fall of 2023. He continues to work with the Hawks’ defensive line.

The Oneonta, NY native arrived at Hartwick from American International College where he was a graduate assistant on the offensive line. Among his responsibilities were recruiting student-athletes, offseason conditioning, and monitoring academic progress.

Dilello was also an assistant football coach at Springfield Central High School and Unatego Central School. He has been an instructional assistant at the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club since 2004 and has worked for the City of Oneonta Recreation Department since 2010.

Prior to AIC, Dilello was a special education teacher at Safe Middle School. He also taught social studies and reading at Schenevus Central School from 2009-2010.


Dilello was a four-year starter for the AIC Yellow Jackets helping the program post a record of 27-13. He earned All-League honors in 2009 and was named to the Athletic Director’s scholar athlete teams from 2005-2008. He was also named to the 2006 bronze scholar team for having a GPA in the top 15% of his class.

Dilello graduated from AIC in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and a minor in English and Coaching.
