Zack Votra

Zack Votra began his third season as an assistant coach with the women’s soccer program at Hartwick in the fall of 2020.

In 2019, Votra helped the Hawks to an overall record of 12-4-3, an undefeated league mark at 4-0-3, a share of the Empire 8 regular season title, and the program's fourth consecutive playoff appearance. Votra helped lead seven Hawks to all-conference honors, including All-East Region First Team and Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year Courtney Velho. Head coach Brian Knapp and Votra were tapped the 2019 Empire 8 Women's Soccer Coaching Staff of the Year.   

Votra arrived at ’Wick after spending two years as the head women’s soccer coach at SUNY Adirondack. He helped the Timberwolves to 10 victories in their first two seasons of existence as a program. He would also serve as the athletic department’s sports information director, as a staff coach with Saratoga Wilton Soccer Club in Saratoga Springs, and the facility manager at Golden Goal Sports Park in Fort Ann.

After beginning his college coaching career at his alma mater, SUNY Canton, in 2014, Votra would serve as men’s assistant coach, women’s interim head coach, and women’s goalkeeper coach in his two years with the Roos.

Votra holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Diploma, a Goalkeeper Level II Diploma, and has earned a United States Soccer Federation “E” License.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from SUNY Canton in May 2014.
